Laundry Safety-Avoid Dryer Fires

• Dry only clean, water washer items.  Air dry mops.
• Never dry items that have solvent or still contain salad oil, butter or cooking oils
• Clean lint screen several times per day
• Clean thermisters and thermostat bulbs as needed
• Make sure dryer lint door seals properly or dryer may run too hot
• Use cooldown setting on every load
• Never leave a finished load in the dryer
• Too hot to fold? - rerun cooldown.
• Vacuum dryer oven quarterly or as needed
• Inspect and clean ductwork at least annually
• Never place a bird screen on the dryer outlet.
